Outdoor Activities in Edale

Edale Valley is an ideal centre for outdoor activities. The walking from the valley is superb, with everything from short easy walks to the Pennine Way.

There is some rock climbing on the flanks of Kinder Scout, and the famous gritstone edges of Stanage, Froggatt, Millstone (and many others) are only a few miles away.

Mountain Biker

Mountain biking is a popular local sport with several excellent circuits from or though the Edale Valley. On the southern edge of the valley Mam Tor is the leading hang-gliding centre in the Peak District.
